In the year 1541, the expeditionary Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca discovered this breathtaking water falls today known as the Iguazú falls (that means “big water” in the guaraní language). Without knowing it, he had discovered one of the most spectacular landscapes in the country: a number of waterfalls formed by a fault in the surface that provokes the Paraná rivers free falling at a height of 300 meters and surrounded by a beautiful rain forest.
